Echo Summit Ridge The PerchNot for the faint of heart. This cabin sits on the Echo Summit ridge, tucked behind Berkeley Camp, with panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and Christmas Valley. It is one of the places the Caldor Fire left standing. Picture windows take in the lake, the valley, and weather moving over the crest. You live at the edge of the drop, looking down on the basin from a true mountain perch. On some days a warbird crosses at eye level on approach to the airport below. Inside it is a classic Tahoe cabin: knotty pine, an open fireplace, and a kitchen woodstove that matters when wind comes over the ridge. Decks catch the long summer light and the first fall storms. A few steps below the main cabin is a private en-suite, still in the view. This is not a subdivision cabin. It is high, exposed, and honest. Desolation at your back. Christmas Valley and the lake at your feet. Walk or bike to Echo Lakes for a swim, a boat, or fishing. The Pacific Crest Trail is nearby. Echo Chalet is where PCT hikers stop for food and supplies. For the buyer who already knows what Echo Summit means.
