The neighborhood of Northridge is located just north of downtown, north of E. William St. and west of Interstate 58. It's south of the Walmart supercenter and east of N. Roop St. This large Carson City neighborhood centers around Mark Tween elementary school with several other neighborhood parks, senior centers, and amenities surrounding. On E. William St. is the grocery outlet, banks, a Starbucks, UPS store, and other services and just north of the neighborhood is the Walmart supercenter, which also is home to the Home Depot, salons, a few fast food restaurants and other services. Access to this neighborhood is easy from the interstate either S. It East William St. or north along 531.
This is primarily a residential neighborhood with the elementary school in the center. Most students are assigned to this elementary school and are within no more than about five or six blocks from the school. The Boys and Girls Club and the athletic center and facility is also located just outside the border between the interstate and the neighborhood on the east side.
Some maps include north of hot Springs Road as part of the Northridge and some include a little further south along E. Long St. However, the majority of the neighborhood is north of Williams and west of 580.
Homes in Northridge are part of the Carson City School System and students are assigned to the Mark Twain elementary school, the Carson middle school, and the Carson high school. The elementary school is rated one of the highest in the area. And again, the elementary school is no more than a few blocks from most homes in Northridge.
While there are a variety of homes, the majority are single-story, two-car garage properties between three and four bedrooms and from about 1200 ft.² to 2200 ft.². Homes typically range from $400,000-$600,000 based on size and condition. Most homes are around $300 per square foot, but of course, that changes with the market.
Be sure to check with each individual listings as homeowners association fees may be applied to specific micro-neighborhoods within Northridge, however, most homes do not require an HOA fee.
